 Mr. James V. Benvenuto, Founder of JB&A, INC. has forty-eight years of dedicated military and civilian service in intelligence operations and management. He entered the military in 1960 as an infantry officer and served for twenty-six years in counterintelligence, human intelligence, and special operations, to include operational assignments in Europe and Asia and staff positions in The Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He retired from the military in 1986.
Mr. Benvenuto founded JB&A, INC. in 1988 as a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business to provide in-depth consultation and facilitation services concentrating on the Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) system and the National Intelligence Program (NIP). JB&A, INC. supports the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, The Director of National Intelligence and United States Intelligence Community activities. JB&A has offices in Fairfax, Virginia, Denver, Colorado, Tampa, Florida, and Sierra Vista, Arizona. On 31 May 2011, Mr. Benvenuto retired from JB&A as Chairman of the Board.
Colonel (Retired) Benvenuto's military awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (Two), Bronze Star Medal (Two), Meritorious Service Medal (Three), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (Two), and numerous service ribbons and foreign awards.
Mr. Benvenuto is a Certified Public Accountant. He has a Masters of Business Administration Degree in Finance from Syracuse University, and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a graduate of the Army War College, the Army Command and General Staff College, the Defense Intelligence College, the National Security Agency Senior Cryptologic Course, the US Army Special Warfare School, the Counterintelligence Special Agent Course, and the US Army Infantry Officer Course.
Mr. Benvenuto was elected a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, national honorary society of graduate business students. He is a Fellow of the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. A Life Alumni of the US Army War College, he is also a member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, the Military Intelligence Corps Association, the National Military Intelligence Association, The Military Officers Association of America, and a member of the 1814 Society of The Army Historical Foundation.
Mr. Benvenuto resides with his wife Christiane in Dominion Valley, Virginia.
